When the air handler or fan for moving the conditioned air through the duct work system slows up, the air starts to get colder and pretty soon you have moisture dripping out of the registers. The slower the air movement, the more moisture. If you don't call the A/C contractor to correct the situation right away you can have your acoustical ceiling ruined.

If you have a belt driven air handler, a stretched belt or broken or loose pulley, causing the belt to slip will cause the moisture to start. The moisture starts to form on the part above the register called the boot and runs down to the tiles & grid. Very dirty filters can cause the same effect as the items above.

When you install an ACP2424 in the grid around each diffuser, it will stop any moisture reaching the grid or tiles. Results; no tiles or grid problems.

The way the monitoring works is now all moisture from the A/C boot is directed into the ACP2424, coming straight down on the floor. When a manager or any employee notices a moisture problem, call the A/C tech. But in the meantime you have no damaged grid or tiles
